We provide consultancy service anytime for
our students and with advanced appointment
for outside students.
How
much do we have to pay for the consultancy
service?
There is no fee if you are a May's registered
student.
How
do I prepare to apply to a University or
College?
We will advise the step by step procedures
for you to follow.
Which
exam should I take if I want to apply to
a University in the U.S.A?
You can take TOEFL or IELTS depending on
your chosen University.
Why
do we need to take the TOEFL, IELTS, or
other exams for applying to an oversea institute?
You need to take these standardize tests
because English is the second language in
Myanmar.
How
much scores will we need on these exams
for applying to a University?
You need to get 500~550 PBT, 213 CBT, and
5.5~6 IELTS for undergraduate applications.
Is
one course or 60 hours teaching time enough
to be prepared for the test?
It is only teaching time. You can have more
self study time, take other classes, or
retake the same class to be well prepared.
Do
you provide housing and airport pick up
services for students in the U.S.A?
Yes, we do.
How
does the Next Generation TOEFL (iBT) differ
from PBT and CBT?
The Next Generation TOEFL (iBT) has:
- A new Speaking section, which includes
independent and integrated tasks.
- No more Structure section.
- Grammar ested on questions and tasks in
each section.
- Lectures and conversations in the Listening
section are longer, but note taking is allowed.
- Note taking is allowed throughout the
entire test.
- The speech in the listening material sounds
more natural, and one lecture may use a
British or Australian accent.
- New questions that measure understanding
of a speaker's attitude, degree of certainty,
and purpose.
- New questions that ask test takers to
categorize information and fill in a chart
or complete a summary in the new section.
- Typing is required in the Writing section.
- Scoring rating are different from the
current test.
I
took TOEFL PBT. Do the universities still
accept my score or do I need to retake iBT
test?
Most universities still accept the PBT scores.
However, you should check with the universities
to determine their specific requirements.
Can
we still take PBT exams?
You can take PBT exams until 2006. But PBT
will stop after iBT is implemented in your
country.
